The Management of HOSPITAL LA PALOMA seeks for the organization to be recognized by its clients as a healthcare services company focused on health recovery, basing its leadership on:

  • Disease prevention and health recovery, including the recovery of both medical and surgical conditions in the shortest possible time and with the most advanced technological resources, so that hospital stays are as comfortable and non-aggressive as possible, minimizing pain and always reducing the collateral effects of the process.

  • Supporting holistic development through personal well-being, with the aim of creating a healthy environment with healthier and happier citizens.

To establish the objectives derived from this Quality Policy, as well as those to be set at the different levels of HOSPITAL LA PALOMA, Annex 5 – Management Program Procedure has been developed.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Aware of the importance of sustainable development and committed to its principles, HOSPITAL LA PALOMA has implemented an Environmental Management System aimed at preventing environmental impacts derived from its activities and facilities, in accordance with ISO 14001:2004 standards.

The Environmental Policy of HOSPITAL LA PALOMA is supported by the following general commitments:

  • Commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Commitment to regulatory compliance.

  • Commitment to pollution prevention.

  • Establishment of an Environmental Objectives and Targets Program that prioritizes all significant environmental aspects, considers stakeholder needs, and promotes staff awareness.

 

The hospital seeks to ensure that its processes and procedures generate minimal environmental impact. To this end, it prevents, controls, and minimizes the environmental effects of its activities, studies and improves new methods to reduce material consumption, minimizes environmental impacts, and uses energy efficiently in the provision of its services.

The Environmental Policy of HOSPITAL LA PALOMA aims to:

  • Protect the environment through the use of preventive techniques in activities that generate pollutants, going beyond mere compliance with applicable legislation whenever possible.

  • Promote and apply continuous improvement techniques in all environmental-related activities.

  • Periodically review and optimize emergency plans, measuring their effectiveness through drills when necessary.

  • Monitor and improve established control systems to increase their reliability in environmental performance.

  • Verify compliance with environmental objectives and targets.

  • Provide services that are safe for employees and, in turn, safe for users and the surrounding environment.

  • Plan processes to optimize the consumption of raw materials and energy, minimize waste generation, and reduce atmospheric emissions as much as possible.

 

HOSPITAL LA PALOMA requires compliance with this Environmental Policy from all staff and from suppliers of raw materials and services that directly impact the company’s activities.

HOSPITAL LA PALOMA seeks to involve all employees in the implementation and maintenance of the Environmental Management System and to promote environmental awareness among its projects and users.

Periodically, HOSPITAL LA PALOMA informs employees, users, suppliers, and the community about its environmental achievements and commitments.
